My wife and I took our son Alex to his third annual Cooperstown Hall Of Fame Induction Weekend Trip.
This year's newest Hall of Famers are Dick Williams and Goose Gossage. Rich Gossage was one of the first dominant closers (1972-1994), and Dick Williams managed for 21 seasons and won World Series with the Oakland A's in 1972-73.
Last year we got to meet 500 home run member Harmon Killebrew
and 3000 hit club member Dave Winfield.
This year we were fortunate enough to meet one of the greatest catchers of all time Johnny Bench, and 3000 hit club member Wade Boggs.
Boggs took off his World Series ring and actually put it on Alex's finger, which was pretty cool.
