I have sent many baseballs TTM to be signed. I have never used a box. I used padded envelopes 1x#2 and 1x#0(return). These are nice because they have the adhesive on them, making it very easy for both me and the person I send it to.

Typically, I watch sites like yours to see who is currently signing, and sometimes I'll just send out request to players who haven't recently been TTM successes. When I write, I include a short letter but in it I state that it is for my personal collection, not something I am looking to turn around and sell. Some players get nervous when baseballs etc. are sent to them. I ALWAYS use the Official Major League Baseballs. Any ball with "china" on them fade over time.

Here is a list of some players who may sign for you

Fernando Valensuela, Harold Baines, George Kell (HOF), Lee MacPhail (HOF), Matt Holliday, Phillip Hughes, Javier Vazquez, Ernie Harwell (HOF), Duke Snider, Sparky Anderson, Jim Boutonn, Ton LaRussa, Barry Zito - (often takes several months), Bobby Doerr (HOF), Phil Niekro (HOF), Mark Prior, Francisco Liriano, Adam Dunn, Tom Glavine, Bruce Sutter, Bud Selig, Mark Buerhle, Joe Nathan, Hank Blalock- has since slowed his signing habits, Jim Thome, Jeff Francouer, Mike Mussina, Paul Konerko, Ozzie Smith (HOF) -has since slowed signing habits, Alfonso Soriano- does not sign like he used to, Garret Anderson, Whitey Herzog - nice looking sig, Bobby Thomson-shot heard round the world, Goose Gossage, Frank Howard, Tommy Henrich, Carl Erskine, Virgil "Fire" Trucks, Alan Trammell, Tim McCarver, Kaz Matsui, James Earl Jones, Kevin Costner, Doug Mienkietwicz, Corey Koskie, Sandy Alomar Jr.

I have also had many that did not come back and still waiting for. I always try to write c/o the team when possible, but with retired players I write them at home, and I always include a BLUE bic pen for them to sign with.
