This Johnny Podres TTM success has special meaning to us.
My son's favorite part of going to Cooperstown had to be playing with the courtyard statues one of which is Johnny Podres.
Mr. Podres, a World Series MVP Award winner, was kind enough to sign the picture we sent him.

A spokesman for Glens Falls Hospital confirmed Podres' death but said he didn't know any details. The left-hander was picked for four All-Star games and was the first Most Valuable Player in World Series history.
