Pat Neshek - You know it really didn't feel too much different than anywhere else except their lineup was all All-Stars!
HipolitoDesigns.com - How much success do you need against a batter before you can say you "Own Him"? The following players have struck out against you every time they have faced you. Do you pitch them any differently, or do you think your delivery makes it harder to pick up the ball?
Pat Neshek - You know it's really weird but most of those guys I struck out with 3 pitches... Except for Inge! I don't know what it is, batters have told me they can't find my release point. Whatever it is I hope it never changes!
HipolitoDesigns.com - What do you remember most about your debut (July 7, 2006 vs. TEX 2.0 IP, 1 H, 1 SO, 0 BB, 0 ER)?
Pat Neshek - Wow, the best day of my life - it was a long and stressful day! I think the thing I remember most was how happy i felt to accomplish my dream!
HipolitoDesigns.com - How hard was it to attend Butler and turn down the Twins (your favorite childhood team) when you were originally selected by them (45th round of the 1999 amateur)?
Pat Neshek - It was hard but I knew I still had alot to learn and I'm glad I made the right choice.
HipolitoDesigns.com - "On July 30, 2006, Neshek got his first career win against the Detroit Tigers after he only pitched 1/3 of an inning." Did you get to keep the game ball, and when did it really sink in that you had won a major league game?
Pat Neshek - You know I did get the game ball at the end. Joe Nathan didn't want to hand it over but he finally did. I didn't even know I was in line for the win until a couple of outs were left in the game. Unreal to get the win.
HipolitoDesigns.com - Can you describe the day you heard that Twins legend Kirby Puckett had passed away?
Pat Neshek - It was sad and got sadder as the day went along... I chronicled this on my website... but it was a tough day.
