Bonds' 762nd career home run came at Coors Field off of Ubaldo Jimenez, and was caught by Jameson Sutton, who decided to sell the ball after it appeared that Bonds has played his last game in the major leagues.
My guess is that the new owner is speculating that Barry Bonds has played his last major league game, but if he plays again, and hits more home runs, the ball's value will decrease in value drastically. If he has indeed played his final game, then the ball will most likely increase in value.
