Pat Neshek started throwing sidearm in college, after getting hit in the forearm by a pitch in high school, and said he "heard something pop" after throwing a pitch on May 8th in Chicago. He said he won't need surgery, but it's gotta be scary anytime something happens to the "Tommy John Ligament". The ulnar collateral ligament is the same ligament that pitchers have repaired when they undergo tommy john replacement surgery.
Right now he will not be allowed to throw for at least three months, and he hasn't posted any info on his site, On The Road With Pat Neshek
