Brewers starting pitcher Yovani Gallardo confirmed that he'll undergo season-ending knee surgery. Yovani Gallardo was gracious enough to sign our Custom Index Card on 06/01/07 while he was still in the minor leagues, and we wish him a speedy recovery.

At 22 years old, he has a bright future ahead of him, after going 9-5 with a 3.67 ERA after being called up last year. He tore his ACL after colliding with Reed Johnson of the Chicago Cubs. The Brewers were counting on him to help them make a push for the playoffs this year, but they'll have to wait for next year.
