Prospect Hunt 2007
Welcome to the innaugural 2007 "Prospect Hunt". Listed below is a list of some of the top prospect in baseball.
This is by no means a definitive list, but a good starting point for a "Top Prospect Themed Collection".
Some of these promising top pitching and batting prospects are hoping to make the major league roster out of their respective spring training camps in Arizona or Florida, while others may need to spend a few more years developing their skills before getting the call. Prospects who find their path to the majors blocked by an established star may need to change positions or teams via trade in order to get their shot. Once a prospect hits 25 years old, and has yet to play in the majors, they can quickly go from prospect to suspect. Many will make it as far as triple-a, but never succeed at the major league level, before going on to Independent leagues.
As you very well know, prospects constantly move from team to team whether by promotions or trades. To to help track down which minor league team each prospect is playing for, clicking on their last name will take you to Minorleaguebaseball.com' s player search results.
Good luck and let the hunt begin! Minor League Resources
