Requesting Team Fan Packs

David Teixeira one of our site visitors recently opened my eyes to the world of Fan Packs. For those of you who don't know, fan packs are usually free stuff teams give out to help promote the team. These can be anything from pocket schedules, trading cards, or even autographs!

How Can You Obtain Fan Packs?

Email: Check the team site, and use their contact us form.

I love getting fanpacks, and they only take about a week or two to get a lot of great stuff. My favorite return was an autograph request and fanpack from the Tampa Bay Lightning site. I received a Martin St. Louis autograph! My second favorite was from the Detroit Pistons, who sent me thundersticks, programs, 2 8x10's, a dogtag necklace, and a lot more. I usually use the team's Contact Us forms on their website, but I also use FanMail.Biz, then click on the league (mlb, nba, nhl, nfl) and then the team and they usually have it. Be aware though not all teams send out fanpacks, or may require a written request.

Snail Mail: Check the team site, and check their policies. The Colorado Avalanche Site sends out fanpacks through mail in requests, and require a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
